Background
Project Context
Beast Philanthropy, the charity organization started by MrBeast, arguably the most famous YouTuber of all time, approached us to redevelopment their website. The project brief was to develop a website that was not only fun and engaging, but also very fast and secure.

Tech Stack
Going Headless
One of the main considerations for the website was that it needed to be very performant and be able to handle high volumes of traffic and spikes in traffic which occur when links to campaigns are posted on the main MrBeast YouTube channel which has over 200 million subscribers. The website also had to be very secure in order to mitigate any attacks on it.
Given these two things, the decision was made to go headless with the website and decouple the backend and the frontend. This meant that the frontend could be super light weight and compiled and pull the content from the backend.

Implementation
Web Development
We developed the Next JS frontend and all the components based on the approved UI design. The content was all housed on the backend and pulled in the frontend using GraphQL queries. The page content was built out in the backend using the page builder.
We developed several custom components and blocks to bring the site to life. We also developed an animation framework to add some cool animations and interactions to the website.
