Payfast approached us to redevelop their website with the shinny brand identity that had been created for them. The website needed to be fresh but still ensure that customers saw that they are still South Africa’s most trusted and loved payment gateway.

Brand Consistency Through a Design System
The challenge was to maintain the design system across all the UI elements of the brand and website and the various other platforms.

Implementation
Web Development
We started by developing a custom WordPress theme for the new Payfast.io site. This needed to be clean and light-weight so we developed a theme from scratch. We then mapped out all the new UI components and used React JS to develop custom, reusable Gutenberg blocks that we packaged in a plugin.
We also develop some cool micro interactions and animations for the payfast.io website to make it more interactive.
